Update planners with Agenda and HW
  1. The Big ? “How does communication change us? P. 111
  2. In at least 5 sentences, describe a time when communication with someone changed you, either in a positive or negative way. Who was it who communicated with you? In what ways did the message or information change you?
  3. Teacher will ask students to share their responses.
  4. Real-Life Connection p. 112
    1. Copy and complete the “Hypnotism” graphic organizer.
    2. Teacher will ask for volunteers to share responses and help students clarify ideas.
  5. Read “In Your Head” p. 113-115
    1. Read the narrative aloud with students. Teacher can read, or ask for volunteers. Stop along the way to explain and/or clarify ideas in the text.
  6. "In Your Head" Wrap it Up and “Connect to the Big ? p. 115
    1. Answer questions 1-6 and “Connect to the Big Question” using complete sentences. Students may work with others seated around them to complete questions, but must stay in their seats.
